We are always happy when people post photos and videos of their incredible adventures in Mauritius. We sometimes request to publish these pictures on our website and other channels such as our Facebook and Instagram pages by reaching out to users and asking for permission. We request users for their permission by asking them to use the hashtag #yesmauritius.
Terms of #yesmauritius
By responding to our request to use your photo/video with the hashtag #yesmauritius, you agree to the following:
- You give the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) a non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide license to use any photo/video you have responded to with the hashtag #yesmauritius in our marketing and/or advertising, including on our website, brochures, newsletters and social profiles.
- You certify that you own all the rights to your photo/video.
- You have the permission of any person appearing in your photo/video to transfer the rights to the MTPA.
- The use of your photo/video by the MTPA will not violate any third party’s rights or violate any law.
- You release the MTPA from all obligations to pay you for the use of your photo/video and for the intellectual property rights to the pictures, in connection with the above-described uses.
- You release and agree to indemnify and hold the MTPA and all persons acting for the MTPA harmless from all claims, damages, losses and liabilities, irrespective of nature, in connection with the use of the pictures as described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update these policies to reflect changes to our website, customer feedback and online regulations. Please regularly consult our website for the latest version of these terms.
